A humble beginning
In 2000, Fedor got his start in the oilfield supply business as a salesman for a manufacturing company out of Erie, PA in 2000. As he honed his skills, Fedor was constantly asked by customers to source equipment his employer didn’t supply. In 2006, operating from his family’s kitchen table, Fedor founded Liberty Tools LLC to supply the hard-to-find materials his customers demanded and help American manufacturers export their products into emerging markets.
In 2016, sensing opportunity, Fedor established Vorex USA, the overseas arm of the operation. The company’s mission is simple: we help countries establish energy independence by supplying the equipment, materials and know-how they need. Our products are manufactured to the highest US industry standard, transparently priced and delivered on time, wherever needed.
An American Company
In 2016, Vorex opened its home office in a historic building in downtown Erie. We are proud of our office, which is listed on the National Registry of historic buildings, just as we are proud to call Pennsylvania home.
An International Expansion
Vorex cooperates with companies in the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Japan and the C.P.R. in the field of high-tech production and supplies and provides services to companies in the oil and gas production industry in Ukraine, Lithuania, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan , Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Vorex not only supplies equipment, but also carries out a complex of high-tech works to service enterprises in the oil and gas industries. For example, for the Lithuanian oil refinery ORLEN Lietuva Vorex together with Piping Repair Technologies (USA) performed a complex technological project for composite repair of production facilities. In cooperation with another US company - Lubchem - Vorex searched for and eliminated pipeline leaks. In cooperation with the British company Furmanite, which specializes in the production of equipment for the repair of equipment of oil and gas enterprises, as well as the American companies ENR General Machining and WeldFit, Vorex designed and supplied equipment for cutting into existing pipelines under pressure, which is one of the most difficult repair processes on the operating refineries. Vorex supplied equipment manufactured by Reed (USA) to this refinery.
In 2018-2023, Vorex executed a number of contracts for the supply of casing and drill pipes for JSC "Ukrgasvydobuvannya" (Ukraine).
For one of the largest state-owned oil producing companies in the UAE, ADNOC (controls 95% of the country's hydrocarbon reserves), Vorex supplied and serviced British Hi-Force pipeline technological equipment.
For the Bahraini companies Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Vorex supplied equipment manufactured by Jet-Lube (USA) to eliminate pipeline leaks.
The Azerbaijani oil refining company SOCAR and the engineering company TechnipFMC received equipment manufactured by Reed (USA) and Hi-Force (Great Britain) from Vorex. In cooperation with Lubchem (USA), Vorex carried out repair work to find and eliminate leaks from pipelines.
Together with Furmanite (Great Britain), Vorex successfully supplied equipment to Kazakhstan's RT-Alliance, which provides oil and gas production services. For the company Far-Ma Service (Kazakhstan), Vorex, together with the company Hammelmann (Germany), which specializes in the production of high-pressure pumps, developed technical documentation and supplied taylor-made equipment for cleaning oil storages. Together with ENR General Machining (USA) Vorex supplied compressor equipment for cutting under pressure into the pipeline. Vorex also supplied Far-Ma Service with the products of one of the market leaders - General Electric Oil and Gas (USA). For the company A-Brand (Kazakhstan), Vorex supplied a number of products and equipment for welding manufactured by Lincoln Electric (USA). For the national oil and gas operator of Kazakhstan, KazMunayGaz, Vorex carried out a technical re-equipment with Hi-Force hydraulic products, and for the ULMA nuclear power corporation, it equipped the laboratory with measuring and testing equipment from the American manufacturers LECO and Fisher Scientific.
For the Japanese manufacturer of mining equipment, Komatsu, Vorex executed a repair unit arrangement project together with the American company Wright Tools. The supply was implemented as part of Komatsu projects in Mongolia.
Vorex supplied products manufactured by Reed (USA) to the companies Hak Takhts (Turkmenistan) and Futuris (UAE). For the Turkmenbashi NPZ oil refinery in Turkmenistan, Vorex supplied complex equipment for the processing and disposal of oil sludge. For the Italian Eni - equipment and tools for cutting into an operating pipeline under pressure manufactured by ENR General Machining (USA) and Knox Western (USA). Similar products with the participation of WeldFit (USA) were supplied for the Turkmen projects of the British oil production company Burren Energy. Together with Hi-Force (Great Britain), Vorex implemented a large-scale project to launch the Nowa Eco textile plant in Turkmenistan.
For the project in Uzbekistan of the British company Heizer Engineering, which specializes in engineering developments in the oil and gas industry, Vorex in cooperation with Hi-Force supplied equipment and tools.
For the gold mining company of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhmys Gold, Kyrgyzstan Vorex carried out the technological design and start-up of a repair shop together with Knuth Machine Tools (Germany) and Safety Tools (Switzerland).
Vorex projects in Ukraine
Vorex successfully executed a contract for the supply of ball valves for the Gas Transportation System Operator of Ukraine (OGTSU) in cooperation with the Italian manufacturers Perar and TIV Valves. Mobile compressor stations for testing pipelines (designed and manufactured by Vorex LLC on the basis of units from Knoch Western, USA) were successfully supplied by Vorex for the needs of OGTSU. Vorex fulfilled the contract for the supply of gas pressure regulators for OGTSU in cooperation with the Pietro Fiorentini plant (Italy). During 2020-2023, Vorex is the largest supplier of gas pressure regulators for main gas pipelines of Ukraine, Vorex also provides their warranty and post-warranty service. In particular, in 2022, Vorex carried out emergency repairs of regulators at the Kyiv power station during strikes by Russian missiles. In the private gas production sector, Vorex supplied drill pipes for Ukrnafta PJSC and Poltava Drilling Company LLC. Grant Prideco (USA) acted as a partner.
